PRINT A DRINK in Austria is the world ‘s first 3D printing technology for drinkable liquids. With their high-end industrial robot, they can inject microliter-drops of edible liquid into a cocktail. Within a minute, PRINT A DRINK can build up complex 3D structures in a wide range of drinks. Our ultra-small solenoid diaphragm valves, the NV series, are used in their prototype of the 3D printing machines!

Challenges and Solutions

Takasago was given a challenge to meet the following valve requirements.

1. 1. Small size is required to design the device to be used in a restaurant or a bar.
2. 2. Internal volume should be low to inject microliter-drops with high accuracy.
