Miniature Valves for
Medical and
Analytical
Instruments
Takasago Electric, Inc. currently has in excess of 5000 kinds of valves and specializes in order-made designs to further meet individual needs of our customers. Our field of expertise is miniature and highly chemically inert solenoid valves. The products listed below represent only a part of our product range. If you can’t find the valve you require, please feel free to contact us. We will propose the best product to meet your requirements.
TAKASAGO VALVES
- Ultra-small and lightweight
- Features: highly inert, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, pressure resistance, chemical resistance, low power consumption

Miniature Solenoid Valves
-
Diaphragm Isolation Valves
Diaphragm Isolation Valves
These are solenoid valves with a structure whereby the fluid does not come into contact with the metal parts of the solenoid through the isolation of the valve and actuator (solenoid) sections with a diaphragm. Highly inert materials such as PTFE, PEEK, PPS etc. are used for the parts in contact with the fluid, giving a design that can be used for a wide range of fluids.

Pinch Valves
Pinch Valves
These are a type of solenoid valve that directly pinches tubing made of a soft material such as silicone in order to open and close it. The only wetted material is the tubing, therefore cleanliness of the flow path can be maintained and cross-contamination avoided through changing tubing after use.

Stainless Steel Valves
Stainless Steel Valves
The structure of this solenoid valve is such that the fluid comes into contact with the actuator part (solenoid). Compared to diaphragm solenoid valves, it has some characteristics, for example, a higher pressure resistance by making use of the fluid pressure, a reduced pumping volume and an improved response time, etc.

Isolation Valves with Universal Pressure Rating
Isolation Valves with Universal Pressure Rating
These solenoid valves have the same pressure rating on all ports (both IN and OUT ports). Having the wetted materials of PPS, EPDM, etc., the valve is compatible with a wide range of fluids. This valve category contains valves having different mechanical structures which can be chosen according to your application.

Slider Valves
Slider Valves
The solenoid-driven slider valve is a shear valve where a slider moves vertically to block the flow path, minimizing pumping and dead volume, which can affect fluid accuracy. Unlike diaphragm valves, it has no internal volume changes during operation, improving pressure capability and fluid exchange efficiency with a nearly linear flow path.

Disposable Fluidic Cartridge Valve
Disposable Fluidic Cartridge Valve
The valve body can be easily removed from and attached to the solenoid by magnets, and it is autoclavable. Free tubing direction, as the cartridge can freely rotate.

Air Operated Valves
Air Operated Valves
These are pneumatically driven valves. As solenoids are not used, heat is not generated by the actuator making them suitable for use with fluids sensitive to changes in temperature. They can also be used in environments unsuitable for electric devices, such as inflammable atmospheres.

Shape Memory Alloy Valve - SMV Series
Shape Memory Alloy Valve - SMV Series
This valve uses a shape memory alloy for the actuator. Dramatic downsizing, lightening, low power consumption and silencing are realized in comparison with a solenoid-type valve. This valve operates slowly, and so is suitable for applications sensitive to rapid fluid movement such as fluid supply to a microreactor.

Micro Needle Valve - MNV Series
Micro Needle Valve - MNV Series
These are valves that can discharge a low flow rate while promoting little to no pulsation. Low or reduced pulsation can also be achieved when combined with other types of pumps. These valves can be used in various different fields, such as flow cytometers, cell culture equipment, etc.

Pressure Relief Valve
Pressure Relief Valve
These are valves that uses a diaphragm structure with only highly inert wetted materials such as PTFE, PPS, and FFKM, and can handle severe medias. The valve is able to install directly on piping systems, which eliminates the dead volumes to relieve pressure. Customization is also possible.
